April 2021 PADD Board of Directors Meeting
Pennyrile Area Development District held their monthly Board of Directors meeting on Monday, April 12, 2021 at 1:00 p.m. (CT). Guest Speaker, KY Secretary of State, Michael G. Adams, provided an overview of the recent election legislation passed by the General Assembly, additional improvements implemented to the election system, and expressed appreciation to all county clerks and task force on their efforts to ensure a smooth election process.
Representatives of our congressional delegation provided updates from DC. KY State Representatives Mary Beth Imes, Melinda Gibbons Prunty, and Walker Thomas provided updates on funding and legislation recently passed by the General Assembly. Staff reports from Aging, Workforce and Community & Economic Development were provided. The Board approved a loan for Navya Pool, LLC in the amount of $80,000 to renovate property located in South Carrollton, KY; total project cost is $450,000. Mr. Jason Vincent, PeADD Executive Director, provided updates on SB36 and HB 370 and announced the next West KY Coalition meeting will be held on May 13, 2021 at 11:30 a.m. A PeADD Executive Committee meeting is scheduled for April 20, 2021 at 12:00N. Mr. Vincent recognized two PeADD employees celebrating 20 years of service, Ms. Julie Allen and Ms. Angela Gore, and expressed appreciation for their work and dedication.
