Friendly Visitor Training

Depression and loneliness are major issues that lead to decreased quality of life among the elderly, and socialization has significant health advantages. Volunteering as a friendly visitor will leave you with a genuine sense of connection while also allowing you to create a satisfying friendship with someone new. Friendly Visitors have expressed that being a visitor and assisting others gives them very positive and rewarding feelings. Giving back to others and sharing your time with people eager to chat with you and tell you their experiences simply makes you feel good.
If you are ready to take the next steps to become a Friendly Visitor, please join us for one 2-hour training either on July 23, 2024 or August 6, 2024 from 9 am – 11 am at the PeADD Office at 300 Hammond Drive, Hopkinsville, KY 42240. Register to attend with Cindy Tabor, District Long-Term Care Ombudsman, by calling 270-886-9484 or email at [email protected].
