The Kentucky Pride Fund, administered by the Energy and Environment Cabinet’s Division of Waste Management, awarded 47 recycling and 27 household hazardous waste (HHW) grants, and 5 Composting grants totaling $4,999,933.67. Pennyrile Counties Receive Opportunity Zone Designation

Gov. Bevin announced on April 9, 2018 the U.S. Department of the Treasury certified 144 Opportunity Zones in 84 Kentucky counties under a program in the Tax Cuts and Jobs Act of 2017 that aims to encourage long-term investments in low-income urban and rural communities nationwide.
