World Elder Abuse Day 2018 Celebrated in Hopkins County

World Elder Abuse Awareness Day 2018 was celebrated today by the Hopkins/ Muhlenberg Elder Abuse Council in downtown Madisonville. The council along with several community partners came together and bagged over 250 large bags of food that was collected during May – Older American’s Month. These bags will be given to seniors in the Hopkins county area that may need a little assistance. Mayor Jackson attended the event and read a proclamation in recognition of World Elder Abuse Awareness Day. Thanks to our many partners that made all this possible.
