Pennyrile Counties Receive Opportunity Zone Designation

​Gov. Bevin announced on April 9, 2018 the U.S. Department of the Treasury certified 144 Opportunity Zones in 84 Kentucky counties under a program in the Tax Cuts and Jobs Act of 2017 that aims to encourage long-term investments in low-income urban and rural communities nationwide.  Four counties in the Pennyrile region were among the 84 selected: Christian, Hopkins, Muhlenberg, and Todd Counties....  Read More
DLG Staff Visit Koppers Industries in Guthrie

​Staff from the Department for Local Government conducted a site visit to Koppers Industries in Guthrie today. DLG provided Community Development Block Grant funding to install a natural gas line to serve the industry. Groundbreaking for Trenton Volunteer Fire Department Building

Todd County Receives Community Development Block Grant Funding
