September 2021 Board of Directors Meeting Recap

On September 13, 2021 the PeADD Board of Directors held an in-person and virtual monthly meeting in Hopkinsville, KY.  Congressional and state reports were provided.  Representative Melinda Prunty provided a report on recent actions of the General Assembly.  Staff reports were presented on funding opportunities available through the Transportation Alternatives Program and FEMA Hazard Mitigation Grant Program, the Innovative Readiness Training Program, Pennyrile AAAIL meals, Senior Citizen Center activities, Walk to End Alzheimer’s, and Workforce activities to include upcoming job fairs and expos.  September is National Senior Center Month and Workforce Development Month. Mr. Jason Vincent, PeADD Executive Director, presented an amendment to the PeADD Bylaws incorporating language that allows the agency to hold hybrid and virtual meetings in accordance with Open Meeting requirements.  He also presented a Surplus Inventory Declaration allowing local governmental agencies the opportunity to access surplus supplies at no cost.  Both documents were approved by the Board as presented.  Copies of the 2021 Annual Report were provided and the report can be viewed on the PeADD website at www.peadd.org.  Mr. Vincent expressed congratulations to the City of Cadiz on receiving the Kentucky Rural Water Association 2021 Wooden Bucket Award.
