August 2021 PADD Board of Directors Monthly Meeting
On August 9, 2021 the PeADD Board of Directors held their monthly meeting in Hopkinsville, KY. Congressional and state reports were provided. Staff reports were presented regarding EDA American Rescue Plan Act (ARPA), KYTC Road Centerlines, Pennyrile AAAIL meals, and West KY Workforce Business Services. Guest Speaker, Mr. Carter Hendricks, Executive Director, SWK EDC and board member of You Decide, KY, provided an overview of the You Decide, KY initiative to modernize our state’s Constitution enabling the state legislature to give cities and counties across the Commonwealth more revenue tools to fund community-centered, local initiatives across the state and provide local control to our communities. Mr. Jason Vincent, PeADD Executive Director, recognized employee MaryAnne Medlock, Workforce Business Liaison, celebrating 20 years of service and Mr. Craig Morris, Regional Planning Coordinator, who will be retiring from PeADD with 24 years of service this month. On September 13, 2021, PeADD will hold a celebration dinner at The Bruce in Hopkinsville. Registration begins at 5:30 p.m. with dinner at 6:00 p.m. The Pride of the Pennyrile Industry Appreciation Event is scheduled for September 23, 2021 at Lake Barkley State Resort Park.
