Ombudsman Advisory Council Meeting

March 11, 2020 the Ombudsman Advisory Council meeting was held at the PADD office. The meeting lasted two hours with much discussion about the recent COVID-19 Virus. We encourage people not to panic but rather wash your hands and be prepared. We also encourage people not to visit residents in nursing facilities at this time as a precaution and to help keep our most vulnerable safe.
Rebecca Perry with State Guardianship office was our guest speaker and spoke about guardianship, what it is and what it is not. DO Tabor presented the ranking of nursing facilities in the Pennyrile district and their staffing hours per resident per day from Nursing Home Compare. We discussed the upcoming 2020 census and encouraged all people to be counted. The best, most efficient way to be counted is once you get your notice in the mail to go online and follow their instructions.
