October 2019 PADD Board of Directors Meeting
Pennyrile ADD held their monthly Board of Directors meeting on Monday, October 14, 2019 at the PADD Office in Hopkinsville, KY. Special guests U.S. Congressman James Comer, KY State Auditor Mike Harmon, and KY State Representatives Chris Freeland, Jason Petrie, Melinda Gibbons Prunty, and Walker Thomas were in attendance. Congressman Comer discussed several priorities such as abandoned land mine funding, I-69 designation and infrastructure, war on Asian carp, Older Americans Act and legislation for sanctions in Turkey. State representatives and PADD staff provided updates on ongoing activities. Guest speaker Ray Hagerman, President, Madisonville-Hopkins Co. EDC, gave a slide presentation overview on the West Kentucky RISE (Regional Innovation for Startups and Entrepreneurs), a program with a completely rejuvenated and refocused approach to building vibrant clusters of innovation across the state and growing the overall economy.
