PADD Board of Directors November Monthly Meeting
Pennyrile Area Development District Board of Directors held their monthly meeting on November 14th at 12:00 Noon at the PADD Office in Hopkinsville. Federal and State reports were provided and information was shared regarding availability of Area Development Funds, 2016 CEDS Annual Update, Area Agency on Aging & Independent Living, and the 2016 NADO Conference. The Board approved a resolution toadopt the PADD 2016 Update of the Comprehensive Economic Development Strategy document. Guest Speaker Marion Brown, Executive Director, Sanctuary, Inc., presented information about the programs and services provided to domestic violence and sexual assault victims in the Pennyrile region. Jason Vincent, PADD Excecutive Director, welcomed new PADD Board members Mr. Wade Berry, Mayor's Designee - City of Marion, and Mr. Brian Ahart, Mayor's Designee - City of Cadiz. Mr. Vincent stated the PADD Executive Committee met prior to the Board meeting and appointed Mr. Eddie DeArmond to fill the vacant position on the Pennyrile Development & Governmental Center, Inc. Board of Directors. The Annual Christmas Board Luncheon & Legislative Update will be held on Monday, December 12th at 11:30 a.m. at Pennyrile Forest State Resort Park.
