Pennyrile Area Agency on Aging & Independent Living is seeking comments on the FY 2019-2021 Aging Services Area Plan
The Pennyrile Area Development District/Area Agency on Aging and Independent Living will receive public comments on the FY 2019-2021 Aging Services Area Plan. Public comments will be received on Tuesday, March 6, 2018 at the Pennyrile Area Development District, 300 Hammond Drive Hopkinsville, Kentucky between the hours of 9:30 a.m. and 10:30 a.m. The plan affects individuals that are 60 years of age and over and disabled individuals in the nine county PADD district. Programs reviewed provide senior services programs including Home Delivered Meals, In Home Services, Senior Center Services, Legal Assistance, Benefits Counseling, Ombudsman and Elder Abuse, National Family Caregiver Support Program, Kentucky Family Caregiver Support Program, Disease Prevention and Health Promotion, and Home & Community Based Waivers.
Participation is actively sought from the following groups: minority, rural, elderly, low income, disabled, Native Americans, persons with limited English speaking ability and caregivers of individuals with Alzheimer’s disease or related disorders. We encourage all interested parties to review the draft plan in order to be informed and to make comments. The draft plan will be available to review at the Pennyrile Area Development District office and by clicking on the link below.
