Save the Date "Scam Alert Awareness Through Interfaith Connection"
The Attorney General’s Office of Senior Protection is continuing its efforts to protect our most vulnerable Kentuckians through public outreach initiatives that are designed to educate and empower seniors across the Commonwealth. In 2016, we participated in over 80 presentations focusing on emerging scams and the effects of financial exploitation of our seniors. This year, we are excited to announce that the Office of Senior Protection, in partnership with AARP Kentucky, will be kicking off an “Interfaith Traveling Series” initiative. We will be traveling the Commonwealth to bring church groups the most up to date information on scams, how they work, and how to avoid victimization.
A celebration will be held at the Capitol Rotunda on Friday, February 17th at 10:30 a.m. ET with a reception to follow. At this celebration, Attorney General Andy Beshear will unveil a full calendar of events and the churches to be visited.
