PADD Board of Directors July 2017 Monthly Meeting
The PADD Board of Directors held their monthly meeting on Monday, July 10, 2017 at the PADD Office in Hopkinsville. Reports were provided from representatives of U.S. Senator Rand Paul, U. S. Senator Mitch McConnell, U.S. Congressman James Comer, Representative Melissa Prunty, and the Department of Local Government. Senator C.B. Embry, Jr. stated the General Assembly is waiting to see if the Governor will call a special session to address pension and tax reform. Judge Perry Newcom, PADD Treasurer, presented the FY 2018 Budget which was recommended by the PADD Executive Committee and approved by the full Board. PADD Executive Director Jason Vincent welcomed new Board Members Mr. Lee Wilson (Lyon County) and Mrs. Stephanie Perry (Trigg County). The Board of Directors also adopted a Resolution opposing proposed FY 2018 budget cuts by President Donald Trump. The Resolution will be forwarded to Federal legislators representing the Pennyrile Region.
