Regional Planner

The Pennyrile Area Development District is seeking a qualified, motivated, and self starting individual for the professional position of Regional Planner. This individual will be responsible for supervising, planning, directing and performing work activities relating to contract work between the Ky Transportation Cabinet and the District. This position will work closely with cities, counties, special districts, and other agencies on a daily basis and provide technical assistance for community planning. The qualified candidate should possess a combination of at least six (6) years of education and experience in city and regional planning, or public administration. Combinations shall be no less than; (1) Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college or university and a Master’s Degree in City Planning or Public Administration, or (2)a Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college or university and two years of progressively responsible planning/administrative experience. Social Services Case Manager

The Pennyrile Area Development District/Area Agency on Aging and Independent Living has a case management position available. The position will provide case management and assessment services for various programs serving older adults, caregivers and individuals with disabilities.

Applicant must have one of the following qualifications:
(i) Bachelor’s degree in a health or human services field from an accredited college or university, with:
1. One (1) year experience in health or human services; or
2. The educational or experiential equivalent in the field of aging or disabilities;
(ii) RN currently licensed as defined in KRS 314.011(10), and has at least two (2) years of experience as a professional nurse in the field of aging or disabilities; or
(iii) A Master’s degree, in a health or human services field, from an accredited college or university can substitute for the required experience.

Veterans Transition Liaison

The Pennyrile Area Development District (PeADD) is seeking a qualified individual for the West Kentucky Workforce Board’s Veteran Transition Liaison.  Responsibilities center on implementing strategies to build and maintain military and community relationships in order to create and supply the talent pipeline for exiting military/veterans to local business/industry employment as well as to post-secondary training.  Coordinates with Solder for Life transition efforts, USDOL Veteran Programs, USDOL Dislocated Worker Programs.  Refers transitioning military and veterans to career services/employment activities/counseling.  Serves as a direct link to fulfill talent needs of business/industries. Tracks individuals’ data and their career activities. Prepares written and oral presentations.  Knowledge of local workforce sectors, business community and workforce system helpful. Covers the 17 counties of the West Kentucky Workforce Board.
