Public Relations & Publicity Sub-Committee
This Group will be lead by a Chairman appointed by the Council Chairman. This Group will select methods of promoting Citizen Corps throughout the region appointing additional members as necessary. This Sub-committee will:
- Recommend, review and purchase advertising specialty goods/items
- Seek out and arrange speaking engagements for Council Chair or other members as appropriate.
- Maintain a media contact list
- Seek out and arrange for as many Community Events that will allow Citizen Corps to set up informational Booths and tables.
- Seek out means of announcing activities in local media outlets (ie: radio, T.V., newspapers
- Promote National and State events (ie: National Preparedness Month) and post participation on National Citizen Corps Website.
- Arrange Media interviews for Council-Corps activities.
- Coordinate a Quarterly Newsletter for Region highlighting accomplishments, awards, progress.
- Communicate with Working and Training Groups to assist on promoting activities.
- Other duties as required
