Next meeting May 8 - 10 am The Pennyrile Area Development District (PADD) in Hopkinsville regional GIS//GPS Group exists for mutual support of users of Geographic Information Systems in the Pennyrile area, sharing successes and helping avoid pitfalls found by others.
Our next meeting will be at the PADD Office in Hopkinsville on Thursday, May 8, 2008 from 10:00 a.m. until about noon. This meeting is specifically targeted at distribution of emergency response map products for Christian County: ArcReader (free GIS viewer) will be distributed, installed and a training session conducted. Attendees are invited to bring notebook computers for installation and use. Additionally, the 2008 Christian County Map Book in PDF will be distributed.
We'll always continue our earlier discussions of data products available, and work on facilitating data sharing and access within our region.
We look forward to seeing as many of you as possible; please share this information with anyone in our area who might be interested in attending, or learning more about GIS and its potential applications within their organization. An RSVP is never necessary, but we're always glad to hear from people who will come (or can't make it).
