The Pennyrile Housing Corporation

The PHC is currently working on a $1.3M award for a Neighborhood Stabilization Program, initially focused on Christian County, and targeting high forclosure areas in Oak Grove.

The Pennyrile Housing Corporation, a non-profit agency, was created to serve the nine area counties, assisting low and moderate income households in securing safe, decent, sanitary, and affordable housing.  Efforts to influence the production and consumption of housing has involved every level of government. The implementation of building and health codes along with zoning and subdivision regulations have set standards for housing quality at the local level.  Program funding for the Pennyrile  Housing  Corporation  is  received  from  Rural Development,  the Kentucky Housing Corporation (KHC),  and the Kentucky Department for Local Government .
