The Aging Disability Resource Market (ADRM) for the Pennyrile area was implemented on October 31, 2007.  The ADRM provides "one-stop shopping" for the area's aging and disabled and their family members. One call or visit to the ADRM can provide a wealth of information, including referrals, information, advocacy, and assistance.

The key objectives of the program are: to provide comprehensive information on services so citizens and their family members can make informed choices on their care, provide citizens with a single portal to access area programs and services, and to decrease gaps in services. 

The ADRM provides awareness and information, assistance, and access.  Citizens and their family members can call or walk-in to be matched with area programs and services suited to their needs.  Resource Intake Specialists evaluate the call or request, provide the individual with useful information and assistance on a variety of topics, provide referral/assistance services, provide linkages to public and private resources, provide follow up, and advocate on the customer’s behalf.  Staff also provides advocacy and follow-up to ensure that the client’s needs are being met.

A regional resource directory will be published by February 8, 2008.  This will contain the contact information for all the aging and disability resources in the nine-county PADD area.
