Community and Economic Development - the Pennyrile Area Development District is the statutory regional planning and development organization for western Kentucky's nine county Pennyrile region, which includes Caldwell, Christian, Crittenden, Hopkins, Livingston, Lyon, Muhlenberg, Todd and Trigg counties.

Our ADD enhances the Region through planning to maximize resources, projects to promote economic development, and programs to improve the quality of life for its citizens.  Aging and housing programs, water & wastewater and transportation planning, the Citizen Corps and Homeland Security programs, GIS mapping,  and computer support.  Both the Pennyrile and Purchase regions are supported by Workforce Development in job training, operation of Career Centers and local youth programs.

We bring local civic and governmental leaders together to accomplish major objectives, taking advantage of opportunities which cannot be achieved by those governments acting alone.  Community and Economic Development  and improvements in the Quality of Life in our region - PADD makes it happen!
